A couple of posts back I wrote about how a guy got pissed about a magazine redesigning a gay website. Well, I can happily say that at least he’s the only person who felt like that. The magazine got a bunch of replies back that filled up the double page of replies that they usually get. Even though, I am happy that it’s safe to think not everyone is as close-minded as that one guy, I am kinda missing my old magazine where they just talked about computer-y stuff. Which makes me wonder…what’s happened to my Wired magazine these days?
Whether you celebrate Easter or not, go out and buy an Easter egg! Now. Go. Leave this window open, and I’ll still be here when you get back from the shops, don’t worry – well, that is unless your computer crashes. It’s one of the best times to buy cheap chocolate (Halloween’s gotta be the other one). I mean, I got one of those big Easter eggs with two chocolate bars for £1. You might as well, that’s all I’m saying.
So you might be wondering about the video I mentioned yesterday. Yeh. Not happening. You should get used to that kind of thing happening. I’ll mention making something, and then it will never be mentioned again. Maybe. My ideas stop and start, and rarely carry through, but that’s what happens sometimes. If I followed through with every one of my ideas I’d have a portfolio the size of Texas. I don’t know why Texas, but it was the first thing that came to mind.
So teignmouth successfully convinced me to give Last.fm another go. Anyone else on there? I only joined this month so there’s not much going on on my profile. But be warned, you have to use either iTunes or Windows Media Player to make the scrobbler thingy work. So this means I’ve had to reluctantly open up iTunes once again *shudder*. Maybe I should put in a suggestion saying they should make it compatible with Media Jukebox. I know, picky picky. What can I say I’m a girl with 3 different internet browsers, 4 different photo editors, 2 video editors, and 4 different programs that are capable of playing music on her computer. They all serve their purpose.
I’m going to talk about something boring now. Just thought I’d be nice enough to tell you. It’s the least I can do.
Anyway, if any of you have ever taken D.T (graphics) in your life, then you might have had to do ‘logo research’. Oh the joys of logo research. There were no joys in logo research. Anyway, over the years I have come across some interesting things. Like the FedEx logo, there’s an arrow between the ‘E’ and ‘x’. Don’t ask me what the significance of that is. Or the Amazon logo, the little arrow shows that they have everything from ‘a to z’. Nifty little idea they had there. What brought on this conversation was this little bit in my magazine (you can tell I was just reading it by the double mention).Thought I’d share. There really was no point, but maybe there’s a hidden message in there somewhere…
Catch ya later people.
Anyway, I’m outta here,
